Movin' On Up

Brian Williams on NBC reported tonight that "it is official" Barack Obama's mother-in-law will be moving in to the White House. He then stated that this is because the Obama family is "under intense pressure".

Personally, I don't really care that Obama is moving in his wife's mommy, I don't know where she's been living, and I really don't care, although he could have taken his aunt out of Boston public housing and given her a closet or something. It's just hilarious that the NBC anchor feels it is necessary to make excuses for Barack on such an insignificant issue.

Intense pressure is being unemployed, intense pressure is wondering how you are going to feed your kids, or pay the mortgage, or rent. Obama is a millionaire who volunteered for his job, so spare us the dramatics. He got what he wanted and now the world awaits. Let's hope, for the sake of those really under "intense pressure", that he can deliver on his promises.
